Diwali and Vastu
Diwali is a festival devoted to goddess Laxmi. Not alone Laxmi but Laxmi is the main goddess worshiped in diwali. When it’s a festival of Laxmi than obviously there comes vastu, because vastu is also for prosperity. I will not talk here about house, workplace etc. In diwali, the most important thing is Laxmi and account books, which are worshiped by business community.
One may ask where comes vastu in diwali? Here is the answer. Wherever comes a place including a place of worship, there comes vastu. Vastu is very important particularly in place of worship. If our place of worship is suitable to vastu it may plays wonder in our life. If god is gracious on us, we don’t have to think any other thing. To make god happy with us we must give them respect. In addition, giving them right place is means giving respect.
In vastu shastra, it’s very clear where to establish, the god, which side he must to face and back and which side a worshiper’s face would be.
As I said, Diwali is for worshiping of Laxmi and you all know Laxmi is goddess of prosperity. Other related thing with Laxmi or Diwali is worshiping of account books, because it's the new year of Vikram Samvat. In New Year, account books are changed and worshiped by books keepers.
Who is worship in right direction they goes ahead in right direction. Let's see, which the right direction is. The perfect direction for worshiping is northeast. Laxmi is goddess of money and north is the direction of money. Therefore, she must be in north-east corner, her image would be in north, and worshiper must worship facing north. Now come to accounts. They also belong to money so must be in north, but they are also for running smooth and fast therefore they must be in the north-west. However, how they can be in north, north-west and north-east. The answer is they would be in north-east corner but a little west side and worshiper would worship north facing. If you do in right direction see how you yourself are leaping and bound to right direction.
